Constant Pain In Right Side Of Head, Hurts When Pressure Applied. What Can Be Done About It?

Hi, I m getting a pain in the right side of my head, a very painful headache that will sometimes be constant, I ve been having it a little under a month now. It hurts when I apply pressure to it, and it s uncomfortable sleeping. Sometimes it feels and sounds like a pulse in my head. If I go and see a doctor, what can be done about it?

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

Your constant headaches require evaluation. The most common causes of headaches include migraine and tension headache. These can be diagnosed on the basis of clinical history.

However, I would advise to do a brain scan such as MRI brain to exclude any structural brain lesion such as infections, blood clots, tumors, etc.

In any case, you should consult a neurologist for diagnosis and treatment.
