Hi my name is Chris, I constantly get boils in groin area. I was on waiting list for to get pino nida Sinus operation but four years later when I got elective surgery the doc said it had cleared up, but I still get hard lumps around bum and under testicles, I also have osteoporosis, I have fluxillion antibiotics but they never clear it up, can you help.
You had not mentioned your age and whether you have Diabetes Mallitus. If you have Diabetes it has to be controlled tightly to avoid recurrences of the boils. Some drugs could lower your immunity and may be a reason for the recurrence. Appropriate and prolonged antibiotics for 2 weeks may solve your problem. Culture and sensitivity from the pus from the boil will also be useful to identify the most appropriate antibiotics and it will solve your problem. Regular bathing with an aintiseptic soap wil also be useful to reduce the microbial flora over the skin. Dr S.Murugan
