Contracted Chlamydia Post Anal Sex. Is This Possible?

My friend got clydima from a boy she is sleeping with. She was previously diagnosed with it from a former partner but got treated for it. She was then tested in January and it came back negative. SHe got tested last week and it now says she is positive. The partner she is currently with says he got tested a month ago and was clean. He says its from them have annal sex, is this possible?

Hello and welcome to HCM,

Chlamydial infection is a sexual transmitted disease (STD).
If your friend is testing positive for chlamydial infection, she needs to take medication for it.
Her partner also needs to be treated because there is chance that the infection will get transmitted from the infected person to the other person.
Abstinence is required during this period.
barrier method should be used to prevent the transmission of STDs.
