Cough, Coughing Green Cough, Headache, Swollen Lymph Node. Negative Swab Test. What Could Be This?

I went to the doctor because I had a bad cough, I was coughing up green stuff and then several days later woke up to the room spinning. I ended up having a headache the rest of the day. I then went to the doctor and she said my limpnoids (sp) were swollen and to get a throat swab. So I did and it came back negative. That was Monday and I still have constant every day headaches. I'm really afraid of it may being a brain tumor. I tend to search the web and worry a lot..

Welcome to HCM.Greenish sputum if thick and foul smelling would indicate a bacterial infection, but mucoid green sputum can occur naturally as a immune response to upper respiratory tract illnesses.Lymph node swelling will occur in viral and bacterial infections.Since your throat swab is negative, the throat infection is probably a viral one .This can cause various other symptoms like body pains, headache, fever, nausea apart from the cough. The spinning of the room may occur due to a labrynthine viral infection. You need to rest and take symptomatic therapy, plenty of fluids and analgesics for the headache.
