Coughs, Tickle In Throat, Pressure On Head, Headaches. Reason?
Hi, I just have extreme coughs, because the tickle in my throat wont go away Im awake for hours so drained, now I have to curl over to cough as it feels like I have pulled something internally on my lower left side below tummy, constant pressure in the head, headaches, alot of pressure for the head area, am concerned as hasnt gotten better thru the week...
The symptoms as mentioned in your post is suggestive of Sinusitis. The cough & tickle in throat is attributable to post-nasal drip.
Management involves: 1. Paracetamol (500 mg to be taken thrice a day) for symptomatic relief from pain & fever. 2. Antibiotics based on culture & sensitivity reports. 3. Steam inhalation 4. Antihistamines like Allegra can also be used. 5. Anti-tussive preparations to be taken for symptomatic relief from cough.
So, kindly consult your General Physician & start treatment. Investigations like complete blood count & X ray of para-nasal sinus will be helpful.
