Could I Be Falsly Visually Diagnosed With Perineal Warts Just Because Of Skin Tags ?
I believe I was FALSY visually diagnosed with perineal warts. I was giving a 1 min visual examine, with no biopsy, or Pap smear or cells taken. My boyfriend of 3 1/2 has none of these symptoms. And I've looked up what I could have and my condition looks way more like skin tags and not warts at all.
I can understand your concern for the confusion between skin tags and warts at perineal region.
You can send a picture of the affected area s that it can be best visualized and accordingly best suggestions can be given. For that you can send on : bit.ly/drsanjaykanodia
As per your history both skin tag and warts can be possibility. Warts are simple viral infection which appears as acuminate or thorn like or pointed projections from the surface of the skin. These are small at first and then in few weeks of period increase in size as well as number over the genital area. These are most commonly present at the interoitus or near to that where there is maximum friction and trauma during sexual act) or at any site over genital area. This is also totally asymptomatic condition.
If your findings are matching with the same then you must take treatment at the earliest.
Take care.
