Could I Have A Heart Problem At Young Age ?

okay...im quite worried. I m fifteen years old, turning 16 and i went for a run/jog today. I m not overweight but i do try and keep relatively healthy. When i run or jog, in under 2 minutes, i get shortness of breath , chest pains and my throat hurts making it hard to breathe. I have a feeling its my heart. I m quite young so i don t see why i should suffer from such a condition, however i knew this 12 year old guy who has died from cardiac arrest . So what i m wondering is, is it my heart? I really really hope not. The symotoms i have seems to say so...my chest really hurts and i cant breathe for long. My legs dont hurt, its just my chest and thorat that makes me want to stop, even so when i do, it continues to hurt.

It could be a heart problem. The breathing thing makes it sound like it could also be respiratory issue, or muscle cramps due to being out of shape. It could be a type of asthma, I used to get mild asthma attacks only after I exercised. It felt like a very tight throat, difficulty breathing, and alot of coughing and weird chest sensations. But... since this is really bothering you, you should see a doctor! It's definitely possible for young people to have heart problems, as apparently you already know. And with anything this uncomfortable and worrying, it's worth it to get an expert opinion and see if there's anything that can help you.
