Could I Still Be Pregnant Despite Having Spotting Along With Negative UPT?

Hi - I am 44 years of age and first time in my life I missed my period in March 2015. In April 2015 I got period that is like constant spotting and it lasts for 4 weeks already. It is still on. I took the pregnancy test and it confirmed I am not pregnant. I am in good health overall and I am not on any kind of medication - including contraception. I booked an appointment with my general practitioner in two days from today to check what is going on and was wondering if you can also get me your opinion please. Thanks

Considering your age, this appears to me a peri-menopausal symptom. Probably your periods are trying to bid you bye.
However, spotting for 4 weeks is quite disturbing. It is suggesting marginal oestrogen levels. I would advice you to consult a Gynaecologist instead of General Practitioner.
Do not worry, I expect this to turn out to be the flag end of your menstrual life.
