Could Implanon Implant Be Related To Bulky Pituitary Gland?

I suffered with loss of consciousness/seizures so was sent for an MRI scan. My results have been sent to me where they have found that the right pituitary gland appears bulky. When I asked my gp about it he questioned me about my menstruation cycle. I have the implant (implanon) in my arm and am now wondering if there is any way it could be linked to my bulky pituitary gland

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Birth control pills and implants do not have any relationship with pituitary tumors. It might be due to something else like small adenoma ( non cancerous tumor). Consult a neurosurgeon and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
