Could A CEA Level Of 8 After Previous Colon Cancer Treatment Indicate That The Cancer Has Returned?

6 yrs ago I had chemo and radiation for colon. CANCER then I had to have a colstomy.today I went in for routine blood work and a cea.the class came back at level 8 everything I ve read this evening looks like my cancer is back!?? Is this a for sure diagnosis?

It is elevated beyond normal limits and warrant evaluation by CT scan. It maybe falsely elevated also.
