Could A Alcohol Addict Be Fit To Fly?

Hi i am really concerned about my mum she nearly died 3 years ago through alcohol and was told not to drink again. She has started drinking again about 6 months ago and is coming on holiday to Spain with our family in 4 weeks do you think she will be fit to fly and be safe to do so?

no, she really shouldn't pilot. I don't know if you should notify the FAA but certainly her doctor should and have her pilot's license suspended!
You might also mean is it safe to be FLOWN in a plane drunk. well....not so drunk that she is falling down or out of control. but remember they serve drinks on planes so, they expect people to be a bit high while in a plane. The low cabin pressure will make the alcohol slightly more effective and she will have a strong tendancy to majorly overdrink if alloweed to on the plane. so as long as someone is able to prevent herr from drinking too much alcohol before during or after the flight she will be fine.
