Could A Hard Patch In The Back Of My Throat Be A Symptom Of Cancer?

there s a hard patch in the back of my throat that kind of feels like food is stuck in the back of my throat, but it doesn t move, and it s too far back to touch without gagging. i use an e cigarette regularly, probably close to the equivalent of a pack of cigarettes a day, but with much less nicotine intake. could it be throat cancer? at one point in my life i smoked a cigarello every day, for a few months, then i started using my e-cig. I m 18, and have never experienced any side effects from smoking or ecigarettes besides shortness of breath.
