Could A Hypoechoic Lesion At My Placenta At 32 Weeks Of Pregnancy Harm The Fetus?
Hello Dr, I m 32 weeks pregnant. And just found out hypoechoic lesion at my placenta but the Dr never measure how big is it. She said it s not look obviously but I really worry it will harm my baby. The Dr look not concern at all. Can you explain for me. Tq
hypoechoic lesions in placenta is the most common placental abnormality identified sonographically. If it is not large it is usually of no significance at this gestational age. It may be due to mild leakage of blood into the cystic spaces. Other cause is isolated septal cyst which is seen in 20% of all uncomplicated pregnancies. As long as the lesion is small and single it should not be a concern to you.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
