Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Could A Lump In Upper Leg After Being Hit Against Stove Indicate Blood Clot?
As a result of a slip from standing on a chair to retrieve a plastic watering can that fell behind my stove (not turned on) with a curtain rod, my left leg knocked against the stove and created quite a bruise. This was a month ago. The bruise has gone away, but I still have a lump in my upper leg that can t be seen, but I can feel it. I take lots of vitamins and have been taking inositol and ginkgo extract and eat good food (no junk food) and know that I have somewhat of a circulation problem. I am wondering if it might be a blood clot and am ready to call my doctor and make an appointment. Thank you for your help. Sheila Dorr
I have gone through your question and appreciate Your concern. According to your history it seems to be organised haematoma. As after injury there is collection of blood and which is clotted. It will resolve itself with time. U can make appointment with doctor to get it physically Examined. Thanks.
