Could A Mole With Bruise Around It Indicate Melanoma?

My son has a mole that has developed a bruise around it.. he remembers irritating it whenhe went tubing a couple days ago.... and then it being irritated when he was drying off with a towel. He ha slooked at the internet and is panicking about melanoma ....

Hi,

Redness around the mole along with itching & tenderness is seen in melanoma but there is change in appearance of mole also.It looks scaly, oozing, bleeding & lumpy There is spread of pigment around it & redness is beyond its border.

Even if the picture is not clear,in your sons case, its better to consult his doctor, get the diagnosis done with needful investigations advised & have a psychological satisfaction.
