Could A Person Undergo Drastic Improvement While Treating Sever Sepsis And Bacteria Pneumonia?

We have been told that my aunt has severe sepsis, bacterial pneumonia and swine flu. She has been in the hospital and on antibiotics since sunday. Today she is no responsive. The nurse tried to crush her medicine and put it in apple sauce for her she got not response it stayed at the front of her mouth. where as yesterday she could drink from a straw. what are the chances of her pulling through this? and is it normal to have such a drastic change over night?

It is Possible. In Many septic condition there is drastic change in condition. since some gram negative bacilli may produce endotoxins and some gram positive may produce exotoxins. this toxins are dangerous toxins may cause drastic change in their health. but you should go for culture with one of the NABL accredited lab. which gives you idea with type of organisms they have. after you just treat it accordingly.
