Could A Ruptured Cyst Result In Brownish Discharge During Periods?

Hi, My Name is michelle. I was on a birth control recently for Awhile and the suddenly stopped taking it, i just recently had my first period off of the birth control and it was one of the worst i d had in while.. Since the end of my period almost a week ago i have a brown,reddish to a pinkish discharge is this normal? i also have sists on my ovarys and i believe some ruptured this last time when i had my cycle.. Help
