Could A Small Cyst In Between The Breasts Be A Matter Of Concern?
I seem to have a cyst in between my cleavage which has recently got bigger and sore since I began gym work in the last few weeks. A few years ago, it was just a small lump and my doctor told me it was a cyst and would go away eventually, is there any way I should be worried about this!
Small cyst can occur due to minor bacterial infection. Accumulation of sweat over a long period will cause growth of bacteria and eventual fluid collection. Hot compress, antibiotic cream and maintenance of personal hygiene will help in reducing the symptoms. In case, the cyst continues to increase in size, excision may be required.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
