Could A Sore On Tongue, Sore Throat And Earache Be Suggestive Of Throat Cancer?

I have had a cancer like sore on side of tongue which nobody seems to be able to diagnose. The oral surgeon suggested a biopsy. Now added to this is a terrible sore throat and ear ache. I am travelling and not home for week but all that I read turns to throat cancer. what kind of doctor should I be seeing

U cannot diagnose any symptoms as cancer till it is confirmed.
