Could An MRI Be Wrong In Reading Seizure?

i am a 36 year old male. I had a seizure six months ago and I am on medication for epilepsy. I have had no more seizures. I recently saw a new neurologist at an epilepsy clinic. She says she needs to see the MRI that I had after the seizure that the neurological radiologist said was clean. She says that often things are missed when an MRI. Is read. What could she be looking for? should I be concerned ?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Seizure can not be read or detected in MRI. MRI we do to look for any underlying abnormalities in brain, like an infarct, calcification or any other lesions, that may cause seizure. Clinicians prefer to see the films personally rather than depending on reports from someone else. That's all. Nothing to worry in this.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
