Could Anemia Cause Delayed, Heavy Periods With Dark Brown Discharge?

Hi I have anemia and have been getting my period late by about 4-7 days and my periods last about 7-8 days they are heavy and I get bad pains and after my period I have realised I have been having dark brown discharge a few days after my period is completely finished. It seems to be getting worse each cycle I have had this problem about three times now and I was wondering is this to do with my aneamia or is this a different cause?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, of course anemia can affects the menses but may not like that as it is being stated here but such blood color could be due to retained uterine blood or may be due to long lasting menses bleeding, but very less likely that this could be due to anemia, hope this information helps, take care.
