Could Antidepressants Cause Persistent Brain Pain?

My husband has constant brain pain and the doctors don t seem to know what is causing it. He has had an MRI, CT Scan, tried botox, ultrasound on carotids, seen a neurologist, cardiologist, ears nose throat specialist, has tried several medications. The only relief he gets is from sleeping pills at night. Any suggestions? He is also on anit-depressants as this has been ongoing all day, every days for 2 years.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent brain pain . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like tension headache , trigeminal autonomic cephalalgia , stress or sinusitis . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist also to rule out conditions like sinusitis and meniere's disease . Also consult neurologist for trigeminal neuralgia and dentist for problems like TMJ problem and malocclusion . For now try to reduce stress by doing relaxing exercises like meditation and yoga .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
