Could Anxiety Cause Cramps In Left Pectoral And Deltoid During Stress?

I m 24 yrs old with a history of anxiety. Life has been crazy lately and I have a very high stress job. I have been experiencing slight cramps in my left pectoral and right deltoid lately. They are almost like spasms I guess. Just wondering if this could be attributed to the stress/anxiety or if it could be something else?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HELLO,
I can understand your concern.
this can be attributed to any faulty posture during sitting in office for long hours. stress does play an important role in such situations.
breathing exercises would help in reducing the stress levels. a healthy nutritious diet with adequate physical activity is advised.
i would suggest a muscle relaxant like thiocolchicoside 8mg(tab myoril) twice daily for five days.
hot fomentation over the affected area is also advised.
this would definitely be helpful to you.
hope you are satisfied with the response.
do get back to us for further queries.
thanks for choosing HCM
