Could Anxiety Due To Abortion Cause Unsatisfactory Sex?

Respected Sir,

I got married 1year back in 2009. On the second day during intercourse I got post coital tear for which stiches had been taken. After 3 months I got pregnant and had an abortion. After that I got urine infection for which i was hospitalised. since this one year i feel burning in vagina during intercourse which lasts for 3 to 4 hours after intercourse. I do not get satisfaction, my husband gets completely satisfied. I feel good during the whole process of intercourse, i enjoy it, but during climax i do not get complete satisfaction. I suffer from anxiety also. Please let me know why am I not getting satisfied?

Thank You.

Hallow Dear,

It is good that in spite of so may insults on your genital system, you are having good sexual desire and libido.

I feel, you have to address two aspects in your sex:

1. You are getting post coital burning which lasts for 3-4 hours. It is most likely that you are having some sort of vaginal infection - could be Monalial, Trichomonal or Bacterial. These infections cause white vaginal discharge. Due to the apprehension of burning, you might be tense and hence cannot achieve orgasm. Please report to Gynaecologist to ascertain the type of infection. Monaliasis (fugal infection) can be treated with anti-fungal cream, Trichomoniasis is treated by Metronidazole while bacterial infection requires antibiotics treatment. In additions, some vaginal lactobacilli ovules or Lactacyd perineal wash will help you to achieve normal acidic pH of vagina to keep it healthy.

2. It is likely that your husband is rather apprehensive due to the initial experience of post coital vaginal tear you had. Hence, he might not be inserting his penis to the fullest extend. Due to his guarded approach, your clitoris might not be getting stimulation. The sensations of clitoral orgasms start from the clitoris.

In fact there are two stages of orgasm - clitoral one and vaginal one; though about 90% women have not experienced vaginal orgasm throughout their life. If clitoris is not getting stimulated, you do not get clitoral orgasm and due to vaginal infection, you are missing vaginal orgasm. If you are interested in knowing more details and means to achieve these orgasms, you may ask me direct question.

Please tell your husband to insert his penis fully inside your vagina. If he is finding the vagina rather tight or dry and cannot insert it, you may use some water based lubricant like vaginal jellies. Also your positions during intercourse should be such that his shaft touches your clitoris. If you keep your thighs apart, you can achieve this. Moreover, vaginal infections should be treated.

I hope this will help you achieve orgasm. For any more information or guidance, you may ask me Direct question.
