Could Anxiety Lead To Twitching Around Stomach And Abdomen Area?

Hi, I am 23, 70kg and 168cm tall. I have recently been experiencing twitching around my stomach area and lower abdomen. There is no chance I am pregnant as I am waiting until marriage to have sex. Occasionally the feeling is small, multiple twitches, and other times it feels like one large thump. What can this be caused by? Anxiety?

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. You have to determine you have anxiety / stress related problems. If you are sure that you do have anxiety or stress related problems, then they are capable of producing weird physical symptoms which may not be having physiological reasons. Such symptoms could become obsessive.

To determine, you should find whether you are anxious or not.

Anxiety symptoms vary depending on the type of anxiety disorder, but general symptoms include:

Feelings of panic, fear, and uneasiness.
Problems sleeping.
Cold or sweaty hands and/or feet.
Shortness of breath.
Heart palpitations.
An inability to be still and calm.
Dry mouth.
Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet.

Please also understand that even obsession (again and again thinking about whether you have these symptoms) regarding physical symptoms can give you the symptoms you obsess.

I can help you in this aspect. Psychotherapy techniques should suit your requirement. If you require more of my help in this aspect, Please post a direct question to me in this URL. http://goo.gl/aYW2pR. Make sure that you include every minute details possible. I shall prescribe the needed psychotherapy techniques.

Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
