General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

In an allergic reaction like food allergies - the immune system's hypersensitivity reaction to usually harmless foreign substances that enter the body, mast cells release histamine in inordinate amounts. Histamine cause the surrounding blood vessels to dilate and increase in permeability and lower blood pressure, the stimulation of gastric acid secretion in the stomach and the acceleration of heartbeat. Antihistamines are the treatment of choice here. Find out the culprit foods that might cause food allergies and never take those foods again in life.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
