Could Black Eye Be A Cause For Concern?

I fell two days ago and hit my head (on left side, jammed my right thumb, hurt my left shoulder, had bump on head (almost gone). Woke up this morning to left black eye. Have been taking Advil. No headaches, never lost consciousness. Should I be concerned?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The black eye can occur due to soft tissue trauma to the area but may sometimes indicate more serious damage to the brain or skull.

Visible injury is one of the indicators for a CT scan after a minor head injury so you may need to see your doctor for assessment and imaging.

I hope this helps
