Could Bleeding After Stopping Sprintec Be Withdrawal Bleeding?
I am 25 y/o, 5'2, 125lb and no health hx problems. My question is about the birth control pill, Sprintec. I stopped taking it in the middle of the third week, was not sexually active during that week, the week before, or the week after, but experienced bleeding. Is it withdrawal from the pill, and when should i expect my next period?
After stopping intake of contraceptive pills you will get withdrawal bleeding in 3-4 weeks. Yes, most likely you are getting withdrawal bleeding. Your normal menstrual periods should come back by itself in the following month.
The natural period can be longer and heavier. You are suggested to avoid addictions if any. Stay away from anxiety and stress, take adequate rest and sleep. Stay well hydrated, take home made food rich in minerals and protein.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
