Could Bleeding During The Menopause Be Due To Fibroids In Ovary?
I m 49... Post menopause for two years now. I have had bleeding for the last 5 days. I had a vaginal ultrasound that found the following: cervical length 25.5 mm-- 1 Fibroid found size 41mm x 37mm x 37 mm.Type: Exophytic. Position: Fundus. Endometrium clearly visible. Thickness is abnormal ... Endometrial cavity abnormal thick. Thickness is 7.5mm I m having a Hysteriscope , D&C, and biopsy this coming week. I have been bleeding for 5 days now.. Started out splitting and now bleeding more than when first started... But not like a normal period. What is your opinion?
Hi, I think you can be having bleeding due to fibroid but endometrial cancer should be ruled out because postmenopausal bleeding is one of the symptom of endometrial cancer. It can be detected by endometrial biopsy.
