Could Blisters Along With Warmth And Redness Of Skin Be Due To Outbreak Of Shingles?

Had a shingles outbreak beginning Sunday. Saw a doctor today. rash with blisters on my left side about the size of a playing card, beginning to dry. This afternoon, from initial rash site up to shoulder and down left arm feels hot and appears sunburnt. No medication. Is this part of thr shingles outbreak?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns.

You are currently experiencing shingles with an outbreak on your left side and now there is an additional rash going from the initial shingle site up the arm. This is possibly due to the shingles. If the pain also radiates from your arm then most likely is it the shingles spreading to the next dermatome. I recommend continuing your current medical treatment and hopefully this will heal quickly. There is no benefit from restarting or adding any more medication for shingles at this time. The main thurst of treatment now is pain control
