My daughter is a diabetic age 23. She goes yearly for eye exams. She has been hospitalized for 4 days and on continuous iv therapy for dehydration. She was released yesterday. This morning she is still very puffy and swollen from alll of the fluids.
She said she has blurry vission in both eyes. She said that it reminds her of when a camera goes off --not light in her eyes, just blurry. Can it be from all of the fluids and the swelling?
Iv fluid should not cause blurry vision. Complete eye examination is required. diabetic retinopathy is to be excluded.Uncontrolled sugar level can cause blurry vision. blood sugar level should be recorded. With these investigation, the cause of blurry vision can be diagnosed. So treatment may be given accordingly.
