Could Body Cramps Be Related To Hepatitis C Antibodies?
Hello my name is Monica. These are the symptoms that I ve been feeling for the past few months and I don t have any medical insurance yet to be able to get a physical done. My legs have been cramping really bad, more when it s cold & at night when I m trying to sleep, my lower back on the right side gets these really sharp pains, my abdominal area constantly hurts, more during intercourse. I have had a cyst on my ovary for years, I have went into the ER several times & all they do is give me medication for it. I m worried because in 2004 I tested positive for Hep C antibodies and in 2010 my test all came back neg. Can it have been dormant all of this time & be affecting me now or what is causing these things?
Dear Friend. Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I have read your query in detail. I understand your concern. In this situation, you should get work up for following: 1. Anemia 2. Vitamin D3 Deficiency.
Get Hemogram and Vitamin D3 levels. Also, i would advise you to get tested for Hepatitis C again, as Chronicity is the hallmark of Hepatitis C. Get HCV RNA, Ultrasound Abdomen.
I understand you don't have a medical insurance, but still you have to spend for a good health.
This is my best advise for you based on available details. If you have any further query please ask me. Stay Healthy. Dr Anshul Varshney, MD
