Could Breathlessness Be Caused By An Anxiety Attack?

well i cant breath i went to the hospital an they sent me home saying if my chest starts to hurt or i get fevers an the breathing doesnt get better to come back but its been 3 days an i cant breath no chest problems i was just wondering what are some reason that that would happen.. they told me it was like an anxiety attack but its going on all day an night i cant sleep .. an theres nothing troubling me
