Could Burning Feeling In Feet,hands And Neck, Shortness Of Breath, Irregular Heartbeat With History Of Protected Sex With Sex Worker Indicate HIV Infection?

I had sex with a prostitute with a condom. i new after the encounter she was a prostitute and may be carrying HIV. Three days later, I started feeling burning opain in feet, hands and back and neck areas. I have now, four more days later, sometimes feel I am short of breath and my heart beats becomes irregular at times. I am very woried. What are the chances of conracting HIV after condom protected sex with a prostutute?

Hi, Thanks for using HCm.

As you have used condom during intercourse, with proper use chances of infection are less, As it prevents direct contact with vaginal secretions.not to worry, get tested to rule out infection.

Better get screening test done for sexually transmitted disease. And HIV need to be repeated again after 1 month to completely rule out infection.

Your symptoms could be due to stress of contracting infection. not manifestation of HIV, and HIV needs several weeks to show symptoms.
