Could Calcifications In Breast Be A Matter Of Concern?

Three years in a row I have had to go back for more pictures after mammogram. I had a marker put in my right breast. I had a mammogram January 28th, Now I have to go back again for US or possible Tomo. They found calcifications. I am worried because this is three years in a row.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Calcification on breast mammography is suspicious.
In case there is any lump palpable in the breast, it has to be investigated with investigations like aspiration cytology.
In aspiration cytology, cells are aspirated from the breast lump, spread on a slide and stained with appropriate stains.
The stained cells are examined microscopically to assess the nature of the lesion.
Consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and relevant investigations.

Thanks and take care
