Could Chest Wall Injury As Shown On Chest X Ray Be The Cause Of Pain In Rib Cage?
My daughter is having pain on her left side upper ribcage....I took her to the er yesterday....they did a kidney, bladder, spleen ultrasound, chest xray, blood tests, urine, and an ekg....diagnosed her with a chest wall injury....she hasn't been doing much all weekend, except sitting playing a video game...don''t know when she could have injured her chest wall.....still having pain today.....
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem. Yes, her chest pain is related to the chest wall injury. Since her extensive cardiac and pulmonary work up is normal for chest pain, chest wall injury appears more as a cause for her chest pain. So try to follow these steps for better symptomatic relief. 1. Avoid heavyweight lifting. 2. Avoid strenuous exercise. 3. Avoid bad posture and movements in sleep. 4. Start painkiller and muscle relaxant. 5. Apply warm water pad on affected site. Don't worry, she will be alright.
