Could Chicken Pox Affect Sperm Count?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...My son had a very bad case of chicken pox when he was 5 years old, he is now 25 and has been told he has a low sperm count. Would this have anything to do with the chicken pox he had as a boy?

Psychologist 's  Response
Hello,

Chicken pox that happened at the age of 5 may not be causing present low sperm count. Therefore, I suggest consulting an urologist for physical examination, diagnosis and treatment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. K. V. Anand, Psychologist
