Could Clear Vaginal Discharge Along With Spotting Be Due To Bacterial Vaginitis?

Good afternoon, i was diagnosed with bacteria vaginosis about last month, i got some medication and the problem had stopped. However, repeat was on the prescription but i didn t repeat it, now i m having itching and the clear discharge and i saw streak of blood two times in the discharge, but the streak was not consistent. Could the the same bacteria vaginosis caused this or it s an infection?

Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. In bacterial vaginosis usual presentation is discharge which can be yellowish or greyish or white with fishy odour. Some have clear discharge with odour also. If coexisting with yeast infection also can give streak of blood.Better to have a swab test to rule out the condition. In such case i would recommend combination of clindamycin or metronidazole with clotrimazole as vaginal suppository or as oral tablets. Avoid soaps and irritatnts to wash the genital area and instead you can use saline or warm water. Using intimate wash daily is good to prevent getting such infections also.
