Could Complex Cyst In Ovary Be Malignant?

My mom is been diagnosed as complex cyst in Ovary.
Doctor say it might be ovarian cancer
She had gone through CT Scan with dimension 5.9 * 4.1
but yesterday she had gone for transviginal Sonography the dimensions are 6.2*4.7,
what does that indicate?
can the reading from the different from CT and TVS ( sonography )?
