Could Constant Coughing Be Due To COPD Or Passive Smoking?

i have had this constant cough for awhile off and on and right now it is not taking anything to start me coughing. no fever, no congestion i have been working for someone from their home they are smokers and i am wondering if there is a possibility that i have COPD or if that is not possible since i have only been there for a year or 2

Hello and welcome to health care magic,

You must understand that like headache, chronic cough can be due to different causes and also theoretically both COPD and passive smoking can cause this.

In any case I would advice you to do these:
-get a complete blood check up including ESR
-get a sputum examination for AFB
-get a Chest x ray
-get an upper GI endoscopy

get all these done and get back to me or any ENT with the reports. In any case avoid spicy, oily and cold food and do not strain when you speak and always keep yourself hydrated
