Could Constant Pain After A Fall Indicate Broken Ribs?

I fell and hurt myself over a week ago. I was at ther ER and had xrays taken, that physician said there were no broken bones,but a crack was possible. It has been 8 days and I am still in a lot of pain. I also noticed a lump as if a rib could be out of place...almost every I i make hurts.
