Could Constipation Be Due To Dexamethasone?

Hi I was constipated for several days then when I did go it was a lightly coloured sticky substance. I recently received treatment for atopic dermatitis with Aerius 5mg twice daily for 14days along with Dexmethasone 5mg twice for 7days then once for 7days. I also experienced an irregular period which I read could be a side effect of the Dexmethasone. Is this something I should be overly concerned about or is it just a simple side effect?
