Could Cough Tasting Like Bleach Be Infected Laryngitis?

I recently had a cold and I m over it, but I still have a cough and it tastes like bleach. I have a friend that I had visited and afterwards she contracted phenomena and laryngitis. She did get hospitalized and is back home now on bed rest. Is it possible that I contracted her phenomena/laryngitis ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

A cough can last up to 6 weeks after the resolution of all of the other symptoms.

Pharyngitis is sore throat and laryngitis is loss of the voice (hoarseness) that can also occur in infections.
If you are not currently experiencing a sore throat or hoarseness then you do not have either of these.
Pneumonia would be an infection of the lung tissue, it can be viral or bacterial but if you do not have a fever then this is not likely.

If only the cough is present at the moment then the use of over the counter cough and cold medication would help.

I hope this helps
