Could Cramp And Knot In Lower Leg Radiating To Calf Indicate Blood Clot?

This morning I experienced a cramp in my lower leg and I noticed what appeared to be knot in that area. The knot moved quite quickly to my calf and seem to disappear. When I stood up to take a step there was a tenderness in my calf which caused me to sit back down. After resting the leg I was able to apply pressure and walk. There is still a little tenderness in that area in that area. My concern is that I may have experience a blood clot. Do I NEED IMMEDIATE CARE?

Hello.
Thank you for contacting HCM.

What you are describing my be Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT) which is thrombosis or clotting of the deep veins of the calf and thigh. It is better to get it checked and you may require Doppler Ultrasound of the leg.

I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns.
Wishing you and your baby good health.
