Could Dark Brown Vaginal Discharge Indicate Pregnancy?
Hello sir,I am a 22 year old girl. Me and my partner had sex without projection on 24th December 2016. But he eject his fluid outside the vagina. After that sex a thick white fluid discharge is coming out from my vagina. My periods date is around 18th. Yesterday I have my periods. But actually a dark brown fluid is coming and blood is also coming. Is this is a sign of pregnancy ?
Hello, Thanks for posting your query. Since you had the unprotected intercourse during the safe period of your menstrual cycle, your chances of conception are very low. Please remember that ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next period. This is the fertile period when conception can occur. Thick white discharge usually occurs when estrogen content is high. Also, your menstrual discharge is not normal and is suggestive of a breakthrough bleeding. I would suggest a proper clinical evaluation and hormone assay along with a sonogram of the pelvis preferably in the trans-vaginal route to help plan further management. Hope this helps.
