Could Degenerative Disc At L4-L5 Level Be The Cause Of Leg Pain?

symptoms are pain in right upper thigh/groin area not allowing me to play tennis which until october 2010 i played 2 hours a day singles, 6 days a week. I am 64 and was very active also in other soprts.MRI findings "prominent degenerative disc disease noted at L4-L5 disc space level with almost obliteration of the disc space. Mild central spinal stenosis and mild foraminal stenosis, worse on the right side.

Could this be the cause of my leg pain(i do not have back pain) and what cure recommended. Thank you
