I have a light a period, usually it's not very heavy but defiantly heavier that whats happening now, I was late 2 days and the pains about the same, ( I get bad cramps). Lately a lot of stress has been put on me and Ive had problems because of it with memory and concentrating and sleep, and I was wondering if that has something to do with it. I do have sex but rarely, and I kinda freaking out right now. Please help. I am overweight, I'm currently 78kgs.

Yes,there are chances of delayed and light periods,when in stress. Your emotions, particularly stress, play a major impact on the regularity of your menstrual cycle. And if you’re stressing about why your period is late, that could actually delay its arrival even more.apart from that,I would recommend you to keep a track on your monthly menstrual cycles,if they get irregular each time,then there might be some other reason you have to look for the delayed and light periods,other than stress. As you mentioned you are overweight too,then there may be other reasons too,I recommend you to keep a track of the cycles,and if the irregularity persists,you need to consult a gynaecologist for further blood work-ups,and other investigations.
