Hi,

Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths that can occur in the uterus. They are common in women of reproductive age and can sometimes cause irregular or heavy periods. However, delayed periods can have several causes, and uterine fibroids may not always be the underlying cause. Other factors such as stress, hormonal imbalances, thyroid disorders, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) can also cause delayed periods.

If you have missed your cycle for 56 days and have been experiencing brownish or pink discharge, it is advisable to consult a gynecologist. The gynecologist can perform a thorough physical examination, including a pelvic exam, and recommend further tests, including a blood test, to determine the cause of your delayed periods. The blood test can measure your hormone levels and determine if you are pregnant or not.

It is also essential to discuss your concerns about uterine fibroids and the possibility of getting pregnant with your gynecologist. They can assess the size and location of the fibroids and determine if they are likely to affect your fertility. If the fibroids are large or causing symptoms, such as heavy bleeding, pain, or pressure, the gynecologist may recommend treatment options such as medication or surgery.

In conclusion, delayed periods can have several causes, including uterine fibroids, but other factors can also be responsible. It is essential to consult a gynecologist to determine the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
