Hi,
Since you have a past history of delayed periods, it could be another one of them. The day when you had the protected intercourse should fall in the safe period presuming you have 28-30 day cycles generally. The medication prescribed will induce a period by providing a kickback to the ovaries due to the hormone content. Withdrawal bleeding is seen usually after 3-7 days after completion of the treatment. In pregnancy, this does not happen. If you are suspicious of pregnancy, please do not use the medication; go for a trans-vaginal sonogram instead. Hope this helps.
