Hi,
It is possible that delayed periods while on
Nuvaring could be due to hormonal changes. Nuvaring is a
hormonal contraceptive that works by releasing hormones (
estrogen and progestin) into the body to prevent
pregnancy. These hormones can affect the menstrual cycle, and it is not uncommon for women to experience changes in their periods while using hormonal contraceptives.
However, it is also possible that the delay in your period could be due to pregnancy, especially if you had unprotected sex around the time the Nuvaring fell out. While the chances of pregnancy are lower when using contraceptives correctly, there is still a small risk of pregnancy. It is important to note that a negative pregnancy test result does not necessarily rule out pregnancy, especially if the test was taken too early.
If you continue to experience pregnancy symptoms and have not gotten your period, it is recommended that you follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation. They may recommend repeating the pregnancy test or performing additional tests to determine the cause of your delayed period.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
